Our Story

Wild Hawaii started with a suitcase of li hing mui, dragged through customs one too many times because we couldn't find it anywhere else. We figured if we missed it that much, other people probably did too. So we started shipping it — and then the coffee, and then the poke kits — direct from the people who actually make it.

Kona coffee, grown on the mountain

Grown on the slopes of Hualalai where the volcanic soil and afternoon cloud cover do what no roaster can fake. We buy direct from a handful of Kona farms, roast in small batches, and ship within a week of roasting — never off a warehouse shelf.

Poke, seasoned the way Tutu made it

Our poke kits come from small kitchens that have been seasoning ahi the same way for three generations — shoyu, sesame, green onion, and nothing that needs explaining. We flash-freeze at the source so what lands on your counter tastes like it just came off the boat, not out of a distribution warehouse.

Li hing mui, the old way

Sweet, sour, salty, and a little bit alarming the first time you try it — li hing powder is cured and coated by hand, in small batches, by the same family suppliers we've worked with since the very first shipment. No shortcuts, no substitute powder blends.

Everything we sell, we'd ship to our own family. That's the only sourcing standard that's ever mattered here.
